Process & Craft

Each piece begins with reclaimed teak wood, selected for its strength, stability, and natural character. The wood is carefully carved and shaped, followed by multiple stages of sanding and levelling (ghisai) to create a smooth and balanced base.

Once the form is prepared, 999 pure silver sheets are meticulously cladded over the surface using the traditional kantrai hammering technique. This process allows the silver to settle seamlessly into the form, creating a refined surface with subtle depth and detail.

To complete the piece, it is polished and finished with a high-quality protective lacquer, helping preserve the surface and maintain its appearance over time.
